Naija Theatre is Hiring 3 Content Creators

It's theatre festival season once again and we are looking to work with people who can document what it feels like to attend a theatre festival and see plays in Lagos, Nigeria! If that could be you, read on.

The Task

Attend any of three theatre festivals, document your experience in an engaging video suitable for Tiktok and Instagram and share with us.

The Vibe

"Come with me to the theatre" — vlog-style, personal, fun. The journey there, arriving at the venue, the buzz, tiny snippets of performances, your honest reactions. Think: a friend taking their followers along to a great night out, not a corporate event recap.

You will select one of these festivals in your application:

  1. Lagos Fringe Festival — 3–8 November 2026

  2. Lagos International Theatre Festival (LITF) — 9–15 November 2026 (main weekend 14–15, MUSON Centre)

  3. TheatreMania Africa Festival (TAF) — 18–19 November 2026

What you'll deliver

  • 2 edited short-form videos (vertical, 9:16) ready to post on Instagram Reels and TikTok

  • A selection of 5 or more photos from each festival (venue, audiences, stage moments where permitted etc)

What we're looking for

  • Lagos-based and able to attend the festivals in person

  • Confident on camera — you're the host of these vlogs, so your face and personality are part of the content

  • Strong short-form editing skills (Reels/TikTok native style: captions, hooks, pacing)

  • Your own shooting gear — a good phone is fine if the quality is there

  • A genuine interest in theatre, live performance, or Lagos creative culture

  • Reliable turnaround — edited videos delivered within 48 hours of each festival day

What we offer

  • Payment upon receipt of deliverables: ₦150,000 total for the full engagement (2 edited videos & 5 photos)
