Casting Call: Duke of Shomolu Foundation Stage Plays (November 26 & 27, 2026)

Duke of Shomolu Foundation has announced auditions for four stage plays in November. The exercise will take place in Lagos on 26 & 27 November, 2026. It starts at 9:00 AM inside the National Theatre Compound, Iganmu. 

According to the announcement, actors, singers, and dancers are welcome.

The four stage plays open for auditions are:

Hafsatu –Directed by Prof. Rasheedah Liman

Princess Inikpi – Directed by Dr Tayo Joan Adenuga

Makamba – Directed by Prof. Ifure Ufford-Azorbo

Dein of Agbor – Directed by Prof. Julie Okoh

They are set to stage in December 2026, between 24th and 27th.

Joseph Edgar described the plays as ‘powerful stories of culture, heritage and identity’. They will unapologetically promote Nigerian stories, sticking with the production company’s theme from previous shows.
