Call for Submissions: Send Images of Nigerian Theatre Spaces

Nigeria’s theatre culture is rich, vibrant, and deeply rooted in storytelling, performance, and artistic expression. From university auditoriums to dedicated performance halls, these spaces have hosted generations of actors, directors, playwrights, dancers, and audiences.
As part of an ongoing effort to document theatre venues across the country, Naija Theatre invites photographers, students, theatre enthusiasts, and members of the university community to contribute photographs of theatre and stage play venues at Nigerian institutions.
The project aims to create a visual archive of theatre arts spaces in Nigeria, highlighting their design, accessibility, and cultural significance.
What We Need
Participants are encouraged to take photographs of theatre venues or stage play auditoriums in their universities and submit them via email to:
admin@naijatheatre.com
Each submission must include at least four photographs of each venue, including:
A photograph of the outside of the building
A wide-angle photograph showing the inside of the venue and its seating capacity
Contributors are advised not to send photographs of regular lecture halls or multipurpose classrooms. The focus is strictly on spaces specifically dedicated to theatre and performance arts.
