We Danced & Danced Stage Play Showing in Ibadan This July

We Danced & Danced is coming to Ibadan this July as part of the ongoing Experiment: Theatre of Vulnerability, offering audiences an emotionally charged story about trauma, identity, and the search for belonging.

Directed by Chukwu Martin, the play follows two runaways bound by a painful past as they journey in search of freedom and a place to call home. However, as they confront life beyond the environments they escaped, the memories and wounds they left behind begin to threaten the fragile bond they have built.

Through the production, Martin hopes to spark conversations about the cost of neglect, the fragility of identity under trauma, and the difficult choices people make in their pursuit of belonging.

Following the performance, audiences will have the opportunity to engage with the creative team during a question-and-answer session.
