Waterside Stage Play Showing in London This March

Feb 25, 2026

Waterside stage play is coming to London this March.

The internationally acclaimed theatre production by Kininso Koncepts Productions (Nigeria) will be staged in the UK as part of the Black Athena Festival, hosted by Certain Blacks at Rich Mix.

Written and directed by Joshua Alabi and produced by Angela Peters, Waterside is a gripping story rooted in the cultural and spiritual landscapes of the Niger Delta.

The premise is based on two young men, bound by brotherhood, who unknowingly trigger events that unsettle their world. As silence turns to tension, a family is forced to confront truths long buried beneath tradition, faith, and fear.

It is funny, mystical, and unflinchingly intense, touching totemism, taboos, environmental degradation, and the fragile balance between survival and belief.

Waterside premiered in Lagos at the Muson Center before earning international acclaim, including a performance at the Capstone Theatre, Liverpool Hope University. Its London staging marks another milestone in its growing global journey.

The show features a talented cast, including Edgar Eriakha and Nnamdi Agbo.
