Throne of Ashes: Ìkú Bàbá Yèyé, a gripping historical stage drama, is set to take the stage in London, UK, this February as it officially begins its tour. The February performances replace earlier dates scheduled for November 2025 and mark the production’s first international outing.
Produced by The Sumi Group, the play is set in the ancient town of Ìgbóhò at the height of the Oyo Empire’s power. It explores ambition, betrayal, loyalty, and rivalry among the empire’s elite, bringing history to life through intense drama and rich storytelling. The production features an impressive lineup of celebrated Nollywood actors, including Femi Branch, Ibrahim Chatta, Femi Adebayo, Akin Lewis, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Gabriel Afolayan, Damilola Oni, and Ronke Oshodi Oke.
It will be performed in English.
