The Naija Spirit Stage Play Showing in Lagos This September

The Naija Spirit stage play is showing in Lagos this September as part of a live spoken-word theatre tour and social change initiative created by the Simply Poetry Foundation.

Spearheaded by renowned Nigerian poet and writer Dike Chukwumerije, the production blends poetry, music, drama, and storytelling to encourage honest conversations about Nigerian unity, identity, and coexistence.

The performance explores how Nigerians can connect beyond tribal, religious, and political divides, using live theatre to reflect on the country’s shared experiences and diverse identities.

It has toured cities including Maiduguri and Enugu.
