The Forest of Talking Drums Immersive Theatre Hits Lagos This December

The Forest of Talking Drums is an immersive theatre experience, opening in Lagos this December by Niyi Akinmolayan's Anthill Studios. Audiences will find themselves surrounded by the action, with rain falling around them, drums shaking the ground beneath their feet, actors moving through the crowd, and a living forest that responds to every moment of the story.

Set in the sacred forest of Kiboko, this interactive play features a breathtaking fusion of myth, music, movement, and live performance. The story follows a young woman bound to an ancient power—one that is both a gift and a burden—as she navigates destiny, love, and responsibility.

Designed to be family-friendly and suitable for children, the production blends live immersive storytelling with powerful music, special effects, and physical theatre to create a fully sensory experience.
