The 4th Macaulay stage play is coming to Lagos this July as an intimate family drama that explores legacy, sacrifice, womanhood, and the unspoken stories passed down through generations.
Written and directed by Boluwatife Orimolade (Co-directed by Eno Godwin-Bassey) and produced by Ankara&Black Playhouse, the play follows four generations of one family living under the same roof after a sudden tragedy threatens to unravel the bonds that have held them together for decades.
Set in contemporary Lagos, the production invites audiences into the private world of the Macaulay family, where long-held secrets, silent acts of love, and the weight of family expectations. Through its emotionally charged storytelling, it examines the sacrifices people make for legacy and the burdens one generation carries so the next can thrive.
The cast features Michael Obed Isibor, Laolu Loto, Mawuyon Ogun, Melvina Adams Abudu, Raphael Imole Ayo, Abigael Adegbenga, and Popoola Erioluwa.
