Pateola Stage Play Showing in Lagos This May

Pateola stage play is coming to Lagos this May with a culturally rich production that explores feminism, tradition, history, and female empowerment through theatre and storytelling.

The play is based on the work of Prof. Abiola Adumati, a respected Nigerian playwright, theatre director, and academic scholar known for contributions to theatre arts and cultural studies.

Directed by Sejiro Sunder, a final-year student of the Lagos State University Department of Theatre Arts, the production will feature students from the department serving as actors, assistant directors, and stage managers, with lecturers providing creative support and consultancy for the performance.
