Ordeal Stage Play in Lagos This March

Mar 17, 2026

Ordeal, a powerful stage play by writer Usiwo Sonia Uyouyou and produced/directed by Oteikwu Emmanuel Adah (Idomalion), will be showing in Lagos this March.

The production explores violence in its many forms, highlighting the emotional and psychological struggles people endure daily. The story follows a woman forged by abuse and abandoned by those meant to protect her, who takes a desperate act of self-defence and challenges the audience to reflect on the cost of simply trying to exist. With the central message, A home free of violence begins with me, Ordeal encourages audiences to engage in the conversation for a safer society.
