Olaide wins 6th Beeta Arts Playwright Competition

The 6th Beeta Arts Playwright Competition has announced its winner. Olaide Nurat Mohammed was on the list of 10 finalists and she was announced winner on Wednesday February 7, 2024. The announcement was made at the Grand Finale, which held at the AGIP Recital Hall inside Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos.

The Playwright Competition is run by Beeta Universal Arts Foundation, which was founded by award winning actress and producer, Bikiya Graham-Douglas. The first edition held in 2016, and you can read more about the foundation here.

Other playwrights on the shortlist were Kelvin Mary Ndukwe with Kaineto and Cheta Igbokwe with Dimkpa who also wrote Homecoming.
