Nkem the stage play is in Lagos this July

Jun 2, 2025

Kelvinmary Ndukwe has written a play for Terra Kulture's theatre on the lawn this July. In an instagram announcement the writer says:

So this story ehn, is one of the most hillarious plays I have written. If not the most. I laughed so hard writing this, and of course, there must be one small, tiny tearjerker somewhere.
And yes! Your chest wee be pumping kpi di, kpi di! otherwise, how do you know you're watching a Kelvinmary play.

All I am trying to say is that I thoroughly enjoyed writing this one, and I am doing this one with even more brilliant people.

'Amadi is finally ready to settle down with Chiagozie—the love of his life.

After their introduction ceremony, his long-estranged father reappears with a shocking demand: end the relationship. No reason. No discussion.

In her place, he proposes Uloma—the daughter of a family friend.

As pressure mounts and answers remain out of reach, Amadi must decide: protect his relationship or uncover the truth behind his father’s silence.

Love is on the line. Loyalties will be tested. And the past is about to make everything personal.
