Man Talk, Woman Talk Stage Play Showing in Kano This April

Apr 10, 2026

Tiata Trybe presents a fresh and modern take on Man Talk, Woman Talk, the classic stage play by Ola Rotimi, coming to Kano this April.

The production will be staged at Hilton Palace Kano, offering audiences a lively and thought-provoking theatre experience. Directed by Oluwasegun Gbadebo, with Ahmad Abdullahi coordinating performances as stage manager, the play blends humour with sharp social commentary.

Man Talk, Woman Talk is a witty and satirical exploration of gender dynamics, stereotypes, and the everyday communication struggles between men and women. Set in a courtroom-style tribunal, the play brings representatives of both genders face-to-face as they argue their cases, trading blame and exposing misconceptions.

Through engaging dialogue and comedic tension, the production highlights how societal chaos can arise when both sides focus on fault-finding rather than understanding. At its core, the play calls for mutual respect, cooperation, and a balanced approach to gender relations—encouraging audiences to move beyond ego and embrace harmony.

With its relatable themes and entertaining delivery, this adaptation promises to resonate with a wide audience while sparking important conversations.
