Love Is Sweeter Where the Grid Works is an interactive stage play and drama production by Mayowa Daramola under Red Art, the creative company behind the acclaimed production Closure Is for Wigs.

Set within one emotionally charged night, the play explores patriotism, migration, marriage, and the emotional cost of believing in a nation that often seems to be failing its people. As curfews tighten, generators fail, and secret plans to leave the country emerge, a husband and wife are forced to confront what Nigeria truly means to them—home, sacrifice, prison, or promise.

Blending sharp wit, aching intimacy, music, and deeply familiar Nigerian realities, this drama reflects the conversations taking place in homes, group chats, airports, and embassy queues across the country today.
