Love in Lagos Stage Play Showing in London This October

Love in Lagos is an African re-imagination of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It is set in 1960s Lagos and follows two heirs from rival political families who fall in love.

Produced by M54 Studios, the production stars Bisola Aiyeola, Uzor Arukwe, Owobo Ogunde, Bola Stephen-Atitebi, and Ruke Amata.

The play is directed by Mofe Duncan, who directed the star-studded No Wahala Therapy stage play earlier this year.

This production brings the classic love story into an African setting, using the atmosphere, culture and style of old Lagos to create a fresh interpretation of the familiar tale of love, family and conflict.
