Jogbo Tuntun is back on stage this January and will be showing at the Wole Soyinka Theatre in the University of Ibadan on the 26th and 27th of January 2024.

'Jogbo Tuntun' is an adaptation of the historical masterpiece, Saworoide, by Prof. Akinwunmi Ishola. The play's themes center upon the increasing decadence of culture and tradition in our society, as well as taking a deep dive into the relationship between people and politics, and how this relationship is expressed in their political participation.

Jogbo Tuntun, meaning 'New Jogbo,' is not merely a play but a metaphor for our modern society and political landscape. It seeks to highlight the significance of our culture and traditions, encouraging viewers to reconnect with their roots and embrace values that once defined us.
