In the Room Where It Happened stage play is showing in Lagos this August. It is an original contemporary production that explores memory, migration, identity, and the relationships that shape our lives.

Written and directed by Adedapo Treasure, the play is presented by Fàdákà Studio in partnership with Alliance Française Lagos. Produced by Olamide Adedapo-Adeniruju and Adedapo Treasure, the production follows a group of interconnected characters navigating love, loss, survival, and belonging through poetic realism, humour, and deeply personal confessions.

Set across a series of both literal and metaphorical "rooms", from family homes and places of worship to lively celebrations and private spaces of memory, the play examines the truths we inherit, the silences we keep, and the defining moments that shape who we become.
