Countrymen Stage Play Showing in Ibadan This October

Countrymen is a thought-provoking stage play that combines humour and social commentary to explore loyalty, leadership, terrorism, and the struggles of ordinary people in a developing country.

The story follows Igun Metala and Orode Alao, two close friends whose relationship is tested as they are caught between loyalty to the governing class's interests and the people's concerns.

Set against the backdrop of a country devastated by terrorism and bad leadership, the play examines the choices people make when personal relationships, political interests, and the needs of society collide.

The stage play is written by Shola Balogun, directed by Emmanuel Orisunmibare, and produced by Fasiat Busari. It stars Chris Anyanya and Ogini Benard.
