BABASALA Stage Play in Lagos This December

Babasala is returning to the stage in a special live tribute this December. The stage play is a celebration of the legendary Moses Olaiya, the man widely regarded as the father of modern Nigerian comedy.

Written by Smart Adejumo and directed by Tunde Olaoye, this production promises a nostalgic revival of laughter, storytelling, Yoruba theatrical brilliance, and cultural heritage.

Produced by industry heavyweights Fidelis Duker, Danipe Adekoya, Dr Sam Uche Anyamele, and Israel Eboh, the show brings stage magic back to life in a spectacular form that honours his legacy and comic genius.

Expect pure comedy nostalgia, culture, and unforgettable stage moments that celebrate one of Nigeria’s greatest entertainment icons.
